About the Doctor

Christopher M. Land, DC, CCSP, CCEP, CSCS

The Land Family

Dr. Land is originally from Pace, Florida. He completed his undergraduate degree at Florida State University. While at FSU, he searched for a profession that would allow him to help people live active healthy lives and discovered chiropractic. He went on to attend and graduate from Palmer Chiropractic College of Florida. At PCCF he learned the latest in chiropractic treatments, obtained in-depth nutritional training, and furthered his education in soft tissue injuries common to athletes. Dr. Land combines his knowledge of chiropractic, nutrition, rehabilitation, and soft tissue modalities to carry out individualized treatment plans for his patients.

Dr. Land is married to his college sweetheart, Kristen. Together they have been through undergraduate school, chiropractic school, and opening an office. They are now working on their most important accomplishment, raising their three children, Patrick, Ainsley, and Thaddeus.

Certifications and Training

Active Release Technique (ART)

Full body, complex protocols, long nerve entrapment, masters, biomechanics, and Iron Man certified. Dr. Land continually updates his ART knowledge by re-certifying each year.

Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP)

Above and beyond the spine: The certification consists of over 100 hours of post-graduate training in specific extremity adjusting for TMJ; foot, gait, and orthotics; ribs and shoulder girdle; upper and lower extremities; extremity rehab and soft tissue methods for extremities. There are less than 1,000 extremity specialists nationwide.

Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP)

The certification consists of extensive training in the field of sports medicine and enables him to properly treat athletic injuries in “on the field” situations. The certification is earned after successful completion of over 100 hours in post-graduate study, training, and examination. There are currently only 6 doctors in the Jacksonville area who actively hold this certification.

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

It is important for Dr. Land to be knowledgeable in strength and conditioning to properly advise the patient of exercises that will help their recovery and those that may hinder it. The certification enables Dr. Land to coach patients in proper exercise routines to improve athletic performance and prevent injury.

Physiotherapy

Dr. Land also completed the physiotherapy and adjunctive procedures curriculum at Palmer and passed the Physiotherapy exam issued by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE).

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

Dr. Land is an avid CrossFit member and completed study, classroom, and practical training, as well as, examination to further his knowledge in the fundamental principles and movements of CrossFit.
