About the Doctor

Christopher M. Land, DC, CCSP, CCEP, CSCS

Chiropractic and Sports Medicine

Dr. Land is originally from Pace, Florida. He completed his undergraduate degree at Florida State University. While at FSU, he searched for a profession that would allow him to help people live active, healthy lives and discovered chiropractic. He went on to attend and graduate from Palmer Chiropractic College of Florida. At PCCF he learned the latest in chiropractic treatments and obtained in-depth nutritional training.  Dr. Land furthered his chiropractic education through countless hours of soft tissue training including nerve entrapments, biomechanics, and sports specific injury recovery and continues this training each year.  He believes learning and training does not stop at graduation.  Dr. Land combines his knowledge of chiropractic, nutrition, rehabilitation, and soft tissue modalities to carry out individualized treatment plans for his patients.  Dr. Land diagnoses and looks beyond the point of pain.  He follows each injury to its true source, not just where the pain presents.

Dr. Land met his wife, Kristen, at FSU. Together they have grown through undergraduate school, chiropractic school, and opening an office. They are now working on their most important accomplishment, raising their three children.  When he is not working, you will see Dr. Land at the pool, soccer, baseball, and football fields cheering on his three favorite athletes.

Certifications and Training

  • Full body (level 1 and 2), complex protocols, long nerve entrapment, masters, biomechanics, and Iron Man certified. Dr. Land continually updates his ART knowledge by re-certifying each year. Be sure you have a certified ART provider by checking their provider listings.

  • Above and beyond the spine: The certification consists of over 100 hours of post-graduate training in specific extremity treatment. Injuries treated include TMJ, foot, gait, ribs, shoulder, all upper and lower extremities, extremity rehab, and soft tissue methods for extremities. Patients are surprised how many injuries are actually extremity related in cause and the results that are obtained with proper treatment.

  • Know the injury, know the sport, fix the athlete. The certification consists of extensive training in the field of sports medicine and enables Dr. Land to properly treat athletic injuries in “on the field” situations. The certification is earned after successful completion of over 100 hours in post-graduate study, training, and examination. Keeping athletes of all levels active, healthy, and properly diagnosed is crucial in overall health and performance.

  • Going above and beyond the treatment room. It is important for Dr. Land to be knowledgeable in strength and conditioning to properly advise the patient of exercises that will help their recovery and those that may hinder it. The certification enables him to coach patients in proper exercise routines to improve athletic performance and prevent injury. Dr. Land ensures his patients know how to properly train and stay healthy. Patients are often advised on exercises, mobility, stretches, and rehabilitation they can do at home on their own time to stay healthy.

  • This certification requires the study of movement mechanics from a macro to a micro analysis. The specific screening process allows Dr. Land to get to the root of the injury source.

  • Dr. Land also completed the physiotherapy and adjunctive procedures curriculum at Palmer and passed the Physiotherapy exam issued by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE).
